Research Achievements

Our center has carried out a series of research initiatives that are at the forefront domestically and in line with international standards, focusing on areas including the development of medical devices (including dental equipment) and biological (dental) materials, the exploration of material-organism interactions and their underlying mechanisms, the formulation and revision of national and industrial standards, and research on the biosafety evaluation of materials. It has successively completed over 70 scientific research projects and been awarded more than 10 scientific and technological achievement prizes. Especially in recent years, the center has undertaken over 50 research projects funded by the national "863 Program," the Key Research and Development Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Education, the National Health Commission, and the Shanghai Municipal Government. It has obtained 17 national invention patents, drafted 2 national standards and 12 industrial standards, served as the chief editor for the national graduate-level planning textbook Dental Biomaterials and the associate editor for the national undergraduate planning textbook Dental Materials, published over 200 academic works, including 72 SCI papers (as of August 2024).
