On April 8, 2024, the Prosthodontics Craft and Materials Branch of Shanghai Ninth Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, together with the Prosthodontics Branch, organized a film-themed Party day activity, where all party members and party activists gathered to watch the movie "Article 20."
"Article 20" is a film that upholds the spirit of the rule of law, elevates legal consciousness, and reinforces a sense of responsibility. It realistically reflects contemporary social phenomena, showcasing the choices of justice within each individual's heart and the struggles of human nature. During the screening, everyone was profoundly moved by the speech of Prosecutor Han Ming at the hearing, who said, "All right things come with a price, but we cannot betray our original intentions just because there is a cost. We are not dealing with cases, but with other people's lives." He ultimately overcame his inner struggles, chose to stand up and speak out for the most disadvantaged people, truly adhering to his original aspiration and mission—that the law must not yield to illegality. Fairness and justice are always in the hearts of the people, and we all aspire to have the courage not to remain silent.
This themed Party day activity, through the viewing of an outstanding film, provided all party members with a profound baptism of legal and party spirit education. It was not only a promotion of justice and the rule of law but also an inspiration to all party members. The Party originates from the people and serves the people, and serving the people is a spiritual belief that every party member should always keep in mind. A qualified party member must be courageous, face challenges head-on, and solve problems for the people. As healthcare professionals, we are responsible for treating illnesses, saving lives, respecting and caring for patients, and adhering to legal and ethical norms. Everyone expressed their commitment to fostering excellent medical ethics and professionalism, further energizing spirits and rallying strengths. They vowed to stay true to their positions, fulfill their duties and responsibilities, remember their original aspirations and missions, and undertake the important mission of safeguarding and promoting human health from various aspects such as disease treatment, prevention, education, and research. With even more high-spirited morale and a pragmatic spirit, they will devote themselves to various tasks within the hospital.
